Todd and I first met and worked together while migrating from one outsourced data center to another. Our task was to move 5 individual instances of JDE, and everything associated, to a new home…in a short amount of time and no interruption to our 20 global manufacturing floors. With diligence, preparation, and constant communication this was accomplished in 6 weeks, on time and no interruptions.
Todd was able to come along side of our business and lead his decentralized team during the transition, then switched gears to educate and lead the daily operations of our complex JDE architecture using a mixture of our established practices and GSI’s best practices. This was not as easy as it sounds, there were challenges – some easily overcome and others requiring assessment and adjustments on both sides of the equation. Even during a few delicate situations where assignments were missed, or misunderstood, Todd took the time to understand the situation and provide viable alternatives for both short and long term solutions. As our teams worked together, we found opportunities to turn manual sys admin activities into automated managed processes. Today we enjoy a well running operation of a single JDE9.2 instance where the GSI team enabled us to migrate all of our legacy JDE instances into one with no downtime experienced by our end users.
